What is Radioembolisation?
Radioembolisation is a minimally invasive treatment for liver cancer or liver metastases. A 3mm tube is inserted into the wrist or groin and guided into the arteries supplying the tumours. Radioactive beads are then injected into the tumour which over the following weeks emit radiation into the tumour causing it to shrink.

Tiny beads laden with chemotherapy are then injected into the tumour which over the following weeks causes the tumours to shrink.
