Dr Robertson is an Interventional Radiologist and endovascular specialist. He trained in Radiology at the Royal Brisbane Hospital and undertook further subspecialist training in Interventional Radiology at Singapore General Hospital.
Jonathan is a member of the Interventional Radiology Society of Australasia and the Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology Society of Europe. He is one of the first doctors in Australia to be certified with the European Board of Interventional Radiology (EBIR).
Jonathan has worked as an Interventional Radiologist at Royal Brisbane and Womens Hospital and as Acting Director of Interventional Radiology for the Sunshine Coast Health Service before starting in private practice as Director of Sunshine Coast Endovascular.
Jonathan’s interests include all aspects of Interventional Radiology, with particular emphasis on uterine fibroid embolization, prostate artery embolization, testicular varicocele embolization and liver directed therapies for hepatocellular carcinoma and hepatic metastatic disease.
Jonathan is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland and is actively involved in registrar training both on the Sunshine Coast and in Brisbane. He has presented his research at local and international meetings. His research interest is in Men’s Health, in particular, minimally invasive treatments for Prostate Cancer and Benign Prostatic Hypertrophy.
Jonathan is enjoying the challenge of establishing an Interventional Radiology service on the Sunshine Coast and looks forward to offering patients more minimally invasive treatment options.
